Ombudsman Training – October 10th-14th
Certification training is limited to 8-10 people and prepares you to serve as an ombudsman. It includes information about the history of the program, laws and rules that direct ombudsman work, and the process of receiving, investigating, and resolving complaints made by, or on behalf of, residents of nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Background clearance is required.
You will interact with the facilitators and each other as you step into a whole new world of ombudsman advocacy. Not only will you learn how to proactively advocate for the residents, but for yourself and family members who, may at some point, spend time in a long term care facility.
